Kenya Water and Land Resources Centre (WLRC) geared towards better management of water resources. These courses cover both water resources management courses currently offered by CETRAD as well as new courses that respond to the needs of the WLRC project.
After completing this course, you will be able to:
- Discuss the main legal factors to consider in the establishment of a WUA (the nature of WUA, the potential members, the rights, duties and tasks of members)
- Describe how a WUA is established - what the internal organizational structure should look like, and how an association is funded
- State the roles of the government should play
This course targets policy and decision makers, project managers, professionals and leaders of farmer groups who are involved in participatory irrigation water management. The course is also relevant to NGOs, trainers and others workers involved in agricultural water management and rural development.
